Welcome to Evan Carpenter Photography

Hey there!

My name is Evan, and I am a Wedding Photographer based in North Dallas. I absolutely love capturing the stories of my couples, and I feel I have the best job in the world!

This blog is going to be a “peak behind the curtain” for all things Evan Carpenter Photography. I’ll be sharing more sneak peaks from weddings, engagements, & senior sessions, while hopefully tossing in some helpful planning information along the way!

I started my photography journey as a senior photographer at Texas Tech, working with 100+ seniors to commemorate their achievements. From there I entered the wedding space, and oh my, I fell in love with capturing love stories. Every story is so unique and I love getting to play such a special role in so many couples most significant occasion.

I can’t wait to get to know you, but in the meantime, here are a few things about me!

I freaking love nature (Check out my Landscape Photography!) If you ever want to get me sidetracked for hours, just start talking National Parks. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll often find me and my GSP, Charlie, somewhere in the mountains with a tripod and a camera.

I actually grew up here in Dallas, only leaving for a few years to study Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. My junior year I found photography and dove head first into developing a business around my passion. I ended up dropping out of Texas Tech to pursue this dream and was lucky enough to photograph 26 weddings within my first year full time!
